Box Hill Institute has been a leader in Australian contemporary music education since 1981, offering one of the most diverse and dynamic music programs in the country. This music course is designed to support emerging music professionals across all areas of the industry to be creative, work collaboratively, think innovatively, create content, generate income, and forge their own pathway into industry. In the composition major you will learn skills in contemporary composition, composing for media and popular music, and using music software; you will have your compositions recorded by professional performers; and you will create a portfolio of work to launch your career in the music industry.
