This is a recognised initial pre-service teacher postgraduate degree to become eligible to apply for Teacher Registration in South Australia as secondary school physical education teachers. It is intended for applicants who have completed a major sequence (equivalent to at least six undergraduate topics) in Physical Education. Students will be provided with the background and skills necessary to enter the secondary teaching profession with confidence and competence. There are important Inherent Requirements for this degree and applicants are strongly advised to become aware of those requirements available at https://www.flinders.edu.au/study/courses/education-inherent-requirements. Commencing full-time or part-time students in this course will be considered for the Enabling Educator Excellence (E3) Scholarship, funded by the South Australian Government, without having to apply separately, provided they meet the specified criteria.
